Planning Boys, Khalibari, Mahabir club register wins

Planning Boys United defeated Sports Academy Sanga 2-0 in the Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League 2022 on Thursday.

Milan Rai gave Planning Boys the lead in the 22nd minute which was doubled by Fagu Ram Tharu in the 66th minute.

The second match of the day was won by Khalibari Youth Club which scored two goals past pointless Birgunj Youth Academy. Sandip Gurung's strike in the 16th minute and Sudip KC's goal in the 73rd minute settled the match for Khalibari.

A hat-trick from Sanjit Dhimal helped Mahabir to the victory over Sanepa Club in the third match of the day.

Dhimal scored his first in the fourth minute and added another two minutes later. After Samvrant Singh Dangol pulled one back for Sanepa in the 41st, Dhimal completed his hat-trick in the 63rd. Sanij Limbu pulled another goal back but his team could not avert the defeat.

Jhapa defeat Oasis, Samaj Kalyan edge Raniban

Jhapa Football Club and Samaj Kalyan Khelkud Kendra registered wins in the Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League 2022 on Tuesday.

Jhapa defeated Oasis Club 1-0 and Samaj Kalyan overcame Raniban Sports Club with the similar scoreline. In the second match of the day, Pujan Rai scored in the eighth minute of the game for Jhapa.

Samaj Kalyan's solitary goal was scored by Puskar Khadka in the added minutes of the first half.

Players brief ANFA over leaving camp, Players Association demands investigation

Players who left the national team training camp briefed All Nepal Football Association over the chain of events that unfolded on the day they left the camp.

Submitting a memorandum to ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, players claimed them leaving the national team camp was not a willful action. They claimed they were asked to leave the camp and had informed the team officials about it.

Meanwhile, the ANFA Players Association has demanded proper investigation into the matter. Association President Bikram Lama also submitted a memorandum to General Secretary Tuladhar and urged the matter be prioritized and resolved as soon as possible.

National team coach hurt by players leaving camp but forgives them

Head coach of national men's team Abdullah Almutairi has said he has been hurt by the recent development involving national team players but said he has forgave them for their remarks against him.

In a letter to ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, coach Abdullah said the allegation made by the players was a result of young blood that led to uncomfortable situation. "I as a guarding of all players of the national team can understand the impulse of young blood that led to an uncomforatable situation. Please understand that the unilateral action of players has hurt me deeply because I have always had the best interest of the national football in my heart," coach Abdullah said in the letter.

He said he believed the team had made significant progress and wants to continue.

Abdullah also requested the association not to punish the players and said he decided to exclude them for the best interest and the performance of the team.

He said it was his responsibility to choose the best possible combination for the team and takes full responsibility for the performance of the team in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers.
