ANFA CAT II Fitness Test for referees conducted

The ANFA Category II Fitness Test for referees and assistant referees has been conducted at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

The test was conducted by the ANFA Referee Department.

Thirty-seven referees and assistant referees took part in the test.

ANFA bids farewell to national team for Malaysia and Bahrain matches

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has bid farewell to the national team members and officials flying for the friendly against Malaysia on March 15 and the second round of World Cup Qualifier matches against Bahrain on March 21 and 26.

A special programme was organized at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Tuesday.

ANFA President and AFC Ex-Co member Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Ex-Co member and ANFA Women's Committee coordinator and member of AFC Women's Committee Sarila Shrestha Maleku, Ex-Co members Manish Joshi, Purushottam Thapa and Maniraj Bista, Deputy General Secretary Vijay Ghale and CEO Indraman Tuladhar bid farewell to the team.

ANFA President Nembang, addressing the farewell programme wished the team well for the matches. He also apologized with Nepali football fans for not being able to organize the home match in the country.

Nepal will fly to Malaysia on Wednesday noon.

Final squad for Malaysia friendly and Bahrain matches announced

The final squad for the friendly against Malaysia on March 15 and the second round of World Cup Qualifier matches against Bahrain on March 21 and 26 has been announced.

Head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese announced his final squad on Tuesday.

Malaysia will host Nepal for a friendly on March 15 before playing both leg of World Cup Qualifiers matches against Bahrain in Bahrain.

Bangladesh crowned SAFF U-16 Women's Champions

Bangladesh defeated India 3-2 on penalties and claimed the title of SAFF U-16 Women's Championship on Sunday.

The regular 90 minutes of the game ended in 1-1 draw at ANFA Complex. Anushka Kumari gave India the lead in the fifth minute before Bangladesh levelled through Mariam Binta Hanna in the 71st minute.

Bangladesh's Sauravi Akanda Prity was the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament and their goalkeeper MST Yearzan Begum won the Best Goalkeeper Award. With six goals to her name, India's Anushka Kumari also won the Highest Scorer Award.

Team Bhutan won the Fair Play Award.

Minister for Youth and Sports Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, General Secretary Kiran Rai, SAFF Vice President Sundar Narsingh Joshi, SAFF General Secretary Anwarul Haq Helal distributed the prize to the winning team and players.
