AFC Fitness Coaching Course-L 1B begins

The AFC Fitness Coaching Course-L 1B has begun in ANFA Complex on Sunday.

Fifteen participants are taking part in the course which will conclude on March 14.

FIFA & AFC instructor Dr Mohammed Khalef Thiyabat will conduct the course over these five days.

ANFA Ex-Co member Rabin Chand, footballer Rohit Chand bereaved

ANFA Executive Committee member Rabin Chand and national team member Rohit Chand have been bereaved of their father.

Chand's father Arjun Chand passed away on Friday night. He was 69.

Arjun Chand was receiving treatment in Kathmandu for his liver ailment.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. He will be cremated today at Pashupati Aryaghat.

Nepal's SAFF U-16 Women's Championship run ends with disappointing defeat

Nepal's campaign in the SAFF U-16 Women's Championship concluded with a disappointing 10-0 loss against India on Thursday.

India dominated the match, with players like Pearl Fernandes and Gurleen Kaur Sidhu securing braces, while Anita Dungdung, Anushka Kumari, Bonifilia Shullai, Gurnaz Kaur, and Rheanna Liz Jacob also found the net. Min Maya Shrestha scored an unfortunate own goal for Nepal.

Nepal had lost to Bangladesh before defeating Bhutan in the previous two games.

India's victory secures their spot in the finals against Bangladesh on Sunday, while Bangladesh will face Bhutan in their final group match.

ANFA marks International Women's Day with AFC Women's Football Day program

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) marked International Women's Day with AFC Women's Football Day programme at St Xavier's football ground in Jawalakhel on Friday. The event was moved to Jawalakhel due to the ongoing SAFF U-16 Women's Championship match at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

The programme was chaired by ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and coordinated by Women's committee Coordinator Sarila Shrestha Maleku.

The event was marked with cultural dance, Zumba dance and a friendly football match.

ANFA President Nembang, Treasurer Rabindra Joshi, Ex-Co member and member of ANFA Women's Committee and AFC Women's Committee Maleku, among others, released ballons to begin the celebrations.

Members of Alive Fitness and Yoga Center performed a Zumba dance along with students from various schools in the programme.

ANFA President Nembang, Former national women's team captain Rama Singh addressed the programme.

ANFA also felicitated coach Ganga Gurung, former FIFA referee Asmita Manandhar and former player Niru Thapa during the occasion. ANFA staff Goma Mizar and Saraswati Pakhrin, who have been working in ANFA for the past 25 and 23 year were also felicitated for their contributions.

Members of the national women's team, national U-16 women's team and students from various schools attended the programme.
