The Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League 2022 has begun at ANFA Complex from Friday.
ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa inaugurated the event by handing over the match ball to the officials.
Fourteen clubs are taking part in the competition. Top two teams will be promoted to the B Division while the bottom two teams will be relegated to C Division Qualifiers.
In the first day of the tournament, Mahabir Club, RC 32 Football Academy and Planning Boys United won their respective matches.
Mahabir Club defeated Sports Academy Sanga 2-1 and RC 32 edged 1-0 past Khalibari Youth Club. Planning Boys defeated Pulchowk Sports Club 1-0.

Nayabasti Youth Club has been fined Rs 300,000 for their involvement in the disrespectful behavior and indiscipline act following their defeat to Madhyapur Youth Association in the Martyr's Memorial 'B' Division League 2078.
ANFA League Committee meeting on April 18 in ANFA Complex decided to impose the fine to the club and ban club official Shree Bahadur Yogi for two years from footballing activities conducted by ANFA. Club manager Bikash Rai has been banned six months while player Manoj Rai was banned for one year.
Following the 3-1 loss in the match played on April 9, players and officials of the club had vandalized physical properties and resorted to verbal abuse of match officials at ANFA Complex.
Nayabasti finished eleventh in the table in the recently concluded league.

Nepal will play two friendlies against Afghanistan as part of preparations for the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers.
Nepal had approached Afghanistan for the friendlies. Afghanistan confirmed for the friendlies on Sunday.
The friendlies will be played in Qatar on May 25 and 29.
The national team is currently in closed camp for the tournament.
Nepal have been drawn alongside Jordan, Kuwait and Indonesia and will play against Jordan on June 8 followed by against Kuwait on June 11. The final game against Indonesia will be played on June 14.
All the matches will be played in Kuwait.

The B and Division clubs to vote in the ANFA Elective Congress have been finalized.
The clubs were finalized amidst an election at ANFA Complex on Friday.
Eleven B division clubs and nine C division clubs will vote in the Congress.
