NIBL Friends Club upset New Road Team with a 2-0 win

NIBL Friends Club scored two late goals to defeat New Road Team and climb up in 9th spot in Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League 2019/20.

NIBL Friends went ahead when Sanjog Maharjan came from bench to score a delightful goal at 78th minute of the game. Three minutes later, FC’s striker Wagner De Carmo blasted in another goal from inside the box. to double their lead.

FC had a chance to take a lead earlier in the second half when Wagnor De Carmo got a room to take a shot from inside the box but NRT keeper Ajit Prajapati made a brave save to deny his attempt. Felipe De Sauza went inches away from getting an opener at 51st minute but unfortunately, his shot hit the framework. From the beginning of the game, New Road Team were pushing constantly but NIBL Friends defenders were strong enough to avert all their chances. FC’s defender Ashim Bhusal was awarded with Kelme Man of the Match award for his brilliant display of game.

Sujit Budhathoki's only goal helps JYC edge a victory over BBC.

Prabhu Jawalakhel Youth Club won their tenth round match of Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division league at ANFA complex, Satobato on Monday after defeating Brigade Boys Club by 1-0.

Although Jawalakhel Youth Club played attacking from the beginning of the game, BBC keeper made a wonderful back to back saves to keep the game on check. However, at 32th minute JYC takes the lead as Sujit Budhathoki strikes an amazing goal crossed by Roshan Rana Magar. On second half, BBC tried to level up the goal but could not as the defense of JYC was tight. Anil Gurung and Tajdudeen Adekunle Busari from BBC got yellow card whereas there was no yellow card from JYC. The game ended with 1-0 as no goals could be pulled out from any of the team.

Dilan Loktam from JYC is awarded with Kelmee Man of The Match award for his wonderful performance.

NOC Manag Marshyangdi Club faces first loss as Chyasal Youth Club stuns them by two goals to nil.

Chyasal Youth Club (CYC) defeated NOC Manang Marsyangdi (MMC) by 2-0 in Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial A Division League at ANFA stadium on Monday.

The game started with an early opportunity for CYC as Amir Shrestha missed a volley from the box. Tiaga Nakamura scored a classy freekick at the 24th minute of the match to provide the lead for CYC. MMC could not make a comeback in the first half but showed an attacking game in the second half.

Nishan Limbu (MMC) tried a shot from the opposition box but failed to finish in the target. The game heated up in the latter half of the match. CYC coach Bal Gopal Saukhala was shown a red card for using offensive language against the referee. CYC doubled the lead on 94th minute of the game as Santosh Saukhala scored his 7th goal of the season on the assist provided by Tiaga Nakamura.

Hayato Wakino was declared as the Kelme man of the match for his all-round performance.

Nawayug's brace helps Tribhuvan Army Club defeat Nepal Police Club 4 - 2

Nawayug Shrestha's double brace helps Tribhuvan Army Club defeat Nepal Police Club 4 - 2 in the ongoing Qatar Marty's Memorial A Division League.

Nepal Police Club played an attacking game in the early stages and took the lead in the 20th minute of the game. Nir Kumar Rai's freekick found Buddha Bal Tamang inside the box who finished off with a strong header in the top corner. However, NPC could not protect the lead for long as TAC man Suman Aryal also converted a header following a freekick. The first half concluded with TAC dominating the possession along with the attacking chances.

Man Bahadur Parihar put NPC in the lead again by conversing with a header from Nir Kumar Rai's corner in the 58th minute of the game. TAC determined to get all three points made back to back substitution. However, the goals for TAC came in the later stages of the game. Nawayug Shrestha scored two braces, a well-placed header in the 77th minute and a powerful strike that found the top right corner in the 85th minute of the game taking the game away from NPC's grasp. Sudil Rai added his name on the score sheet in the 89th minute of the game with a powerful shot from inside the box that sealed the win for TAC.

With this win, Tribhuvan Army Club moves a step close to the title with a point clear at the top. Nepal Police Club, on the other hand, risks losing the place in the top six.
