Players & other team members released from the camp

All the players, team officials and staffs of Nepal National Men's Footall team have been released from the quarantine.

The training camp schedlued to begin from August 17 also has been postponed until further notice.

Considering the postponement of qualifying matches of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023 by the FIFA and AFC, the ANFA has decided to postpone the training camp.

The players and members will be sent to their homes from the quarantine tomorrow. The ANFA also strictly requests all the team members to remain safe.  

Further details on the new dates for the next round of the qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023 will be announced in due course

The ANFA Office will also remain closed from 13 August to 19 August, 2020 due to corona virus concerns.

Despite the closure, 'work from home' initiative shall be introduced during this period.

Results for PCR test out

The results for the PCR test of COVID-19 done on 10th August is out.

All the Players and officials that went for the test on Monday have tested negative.

Swab samples of the following players and officlas were taken on Monday.

ANFA office to remain close for a week

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) regrets to inform that the ANFA Office will remain closed from 13 August to 19 August, 2020 due to corona virus concerns.

Despite the closure, 'work from home' initiative shall be introduced during this period.

FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Asia to be rescheduled in 2021

FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup Preliminary Joint Qualification round 2 matches which were scheduled to be played in October and November 2020 have been postponed owing the Covid-19 outbreak.

With the attention that most of the participating members are facing serious issues with the preparation of the matches due to the continued travel restrictions imposed by the various Government along with flight cancellations not to mention strict medical requirements for international travel.

Considering the above and in light of the current Covid-19 situation in many countries, FIFA and the AFC have jointly decided today that the upcoming qualifying matches if the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup PR 2023, originally scheduled to take place during the international match windows in October and November 2020 will be rescheduled in 2021.

"With the aim of protecting the health and safety of all participants, FIFA and the AFC will continue to work together to closely monitor the situation in the region and to identify new dates of the respective qualifying matches," writes the AFC in a official letter sent to the PMA's.

"Further details on the new dates for the next round of the qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023 will be announced in due course," also says the AFC.
