Sankata, Satdobato ends in 1-1 draw

Sankata Club (SC) and Satdobato Youth Club (SYC) shared points after playing a 1-1 draw in the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22 on Friday.

In the first match of the eight round, SC's Jaya Gurung cancelled out Sushil Rai's opener at Dasharath Stadium.

SC were behind in the 22nd minute after their goalkeeper Raja Babu Thapa's clearance struck Rai and entered into the net. Thapa slipped while trying to control the ball and his poor clearance hit Rai and sailed into his net.

SC levelled through Gurung in the 32nd minute with a powerful right footed shot. SYC's Abhishek Baral was rooted to his feet and could only watch as Gurung's shot went in.

SC and SYC are unmoved from their previous positions after the draw. SC are third with 14 points from eight games while SYC are eighth with nine points.

The second match will also be played at Dasharath Stadium between APF Football Club and Jawalakhel Youth Club at 4:45 pm.
