Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League from March 6

Martyr’s Memorial ‘C’ Division League is all set to begin from March 6, 2019 at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato.

A total of 11 ‘C’ division clubs are participating in the league that will be played in round robin rule.

The teams are categorized in two groups. Group ‘A’ consists of Swoyambhu Club, Kshamadevi Planning Boys United, Oasis Club, Manohara Akikrit Youth Club, Sano Gaucharan Yuba Club and Samajik Yuba Club.

Likewise, Birgunj Youth Academy, Khalibari Yuba Football Club, Mahabir Studies and Athletics Association, Sanepa Club and Samaj Kalyan Khelkud Kendra Club are in Group ‘B’.

Top two teams from each group will qualify for final round.

Meanwhile, the points from the group stage will not be counted in the final round.   

The champion will take Rs. 500,000 while the runner-up will be awarded with Rs. 300,000.

Similarly, the third and the fourth team will bag Rs. 200,000 and Rs. 100,000 respectively.

In the opening day, Khalibari Yuba Club will take on Samaj Kalyan at 12:45 PM while Mahabir Studies & Athletics Association will play Sanepa Club at 3:45 PM.

The total estimated budget of the league is 10 million.

The bottom two teams (one from each group) will be penalized with one point in next league. Also, the FA will deduct Rs. 50, 000 of money from the preparation money. 

The best players in various positions and coach will get Rs 25,000 each.

New Logo of the ANFA and Jersey of the Nepal Football Team Unveiled

The new logo of the All Nepal Football Association and the jersey of Nepal National Football Team were unveiled at a special event in Kathmandu ahead of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2019.

The brand new logo designed by Sandip Tiwari and jersey by the official apparel partner KELME.

Tiwari, who was present during the unveiling ceremony, said it was an honor to undertake the assignment for Nepalese Football.

Tiwari was rewarded with Rs. 50, 0000 cash as he wins the petition for logo design.

The jersey was showcased by the members of Nepal National Men’s and Women’s team in presence of legendries of Nepalese Football.

The event also witnessed launching of the song related to football written by Byakul Maila, the lyricist of current Nepal National Anthem.

Satdobato, RCT, Tushal & Shree Bhagwati advance to final round

25 February 2019 - Satdobato Youth Club defeated Nayabasti Yuba Club 3-1 as they move on to the final round of the Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Division League 2075.

Satdobato (11) and RCT (8) from Group ‘A’ entered to the final round while Tushal Yuba (11) and Shree Bhagwati Club (10) from Group ‘B’ qualified for the next round.

Niraj Maharjan (11’), Bimal KC (60’) and Ramesh Kumar Rajbanshi (87’) scored in the win for Satdobato Youth Club.

Sajan Rai could score only a consolation for Nayabasti in the 35th minute.

Meanwhile, Khumaltar Club sidelined Spark Hospital Bansbari Club 2-1 in the other match of the day.

Sabin KC (33’) and Nirmal Gurung (70’ P) scored for Khumaltar while Dinesh Karki (58’ P) scored for Spark Hospital Bansbari Club.

In final round, the top two teams from each group will now play each other (three matches) and the teams with more points will be crowned the title.

Meanwhile, the points from the first round will not be counted in the final round.

Johan Kalin makes public appearance

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) today held a press conference, introducing newly appointed head coach of Nepal, Mr. Johan Kali to the media.

Addressing to the media, Kalin thanked the ANFA for the opportunity.

 

 

“I am truly honored and blessed to return to Nepal as a head coach for the national team. I want to thank ANFA for the opportunity,” said Johan. 

 

 

The Swedish coach earlier in 2014, had led the ‘A’ Division outfits Machhindra FC to second-place in the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League.

 

 

Johan Kalin will serve the national team as a head coach for two-years.

 

 

“I am very excited to work with the talented young players in Nepal. My first task with the team will be the friendly match against Malaysia on 26 March 2019.”

 

 

“I don’t promise but obviously, there are many things to talk and discuss with the FA as we continue to move forward,” he added.

 

 

The ANFA Ex.co meeting held on Jan 17 2019 made the hiring of the Swedish official.  

 

 

The contract will however be effective from 1st March 2019. 

Kalin holds UEFA A Diploma Coach Certificate.
