ANFA to hold discussion with clubs over National Women's League, B Division

Discussions regarding organising the Martyr's Memorial 'B' Division League 2023 and the second round of National Women's League 2078 will be held with respective clubs on January 10 and 11 respectively. 

The meetings will be held at ANFA Complex in Satdobato at 1 p.m.

Letters regarding the meetings have already been sent to the clubs by ANFA.

The first round of National Women's League was held in Chitwan from March 24 to April 13, 2022. Defending champions APF Football Club currently lead the table with 21 points followed by Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Football Club.

A Division League's tie-sheet to be drawn on January 16

The tie-sheet of Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2023 will be drawn on January 16.

Following a meeting with representatives from A Division Clubs at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Monday, ANFA issued a timeline regarding the league to the clubs. 

As per the timeline, clubs will have to submit their entry forms by January 6 and meet the requirements for national club licensing by January 29. Players registration will open on January 8 and clubs will have to register at least 20 players by February 12.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Treasurer Rabindra Joshi and Spokesperson Suresh Shah were present in the discussion.

Himalayan Sherpa Club's President Karma Tshering Sherpa, Sankata Club's President Indraman Tuladhar, Three Star Club's President Arun Man Joshi, Friends Club President Deepak Thapa, New Road Team's General Secretary Narendra Man Shrestha represented all the 14 A Division Clubs. 

The league will begin from March 3. It will be played in double round-robin format.

Games across country to observe minute silence in Pele's honour

Football matches across the country will have to observe a minute silence for a week to mourn the death of football legend Pele. 

FIFA, on Friday, sent a circular to all member associations in this regard. The letter by FIFA General Secretary Fatma Samoura stated the world of football lost its king. 

Following the FIFA's letter, All Nepal Football Association requests all organisers to observe a minute silence in matches for a week. ANFA requests member associations, district football associations, clubs and everyone associated with the football governing body to implement FIFA directive in their respective areas.  

Pele brought magic of South American football to the world and gave meaning to the phrase 'The Beautiful Game'. 

For his long football is played, Pele will be remembered and he will be missed, the letter states further.

Royal Spanish Football Federation Vic Prez calls on ANFA President Nembang

Vice President of Royal Spanish Football Federation and President of Extremaduran Football Federation Pedro Rocha and President of CP Cacereno Carlos Ordonez met All Nepal Football President (ANFA) President Pankaj Bikram Nembang at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Friday.

ANFA Vice President Dawa Lama, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Spokesperson Suresh Shah were also present in the meeting.

The two sides discussed to maintain the coordinal relationship between the two football associations and continue coordination.

Spanish club CP Cacereno had played two friendlies in Nepal on December 28 and 29.
