ANFA granted AFC Coaching Convention B Level membership status

The AFC declares that the All Nepal Football Association has been conferred with the B Level Membership under the AFC Coaching Convention.

This declaration accords the All Nepal Football Association the right to organise AFC C and B Diploma courses and to issue the corresponding AFC diplomas and licences in accordance with the applicable terms of the AFC Coaching Convention.

The All Nepal Football Association now is recognized with the AFC Coaching Convention B Level membership status.

ANFA has been considered and approved by the AFC Coach Education Panel on November 4, 2021.

3-day Match Commissioner Seminar concludes

A three-day Match Commissioner Seminar has concluded in ANFA Complex on Tuesday.

The seminar, organized by ANFA, had begun on Sunday. ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa had inaugurated the seminar.

Sherpa also addressed the closing session of the seminar and handed over certificates to 30 participants. Participants also shared their experiences after taking part in the seminar.

The seminar was conducted by ANFA Referee Director Goutam Kar.

FIB grants AFC club license to four clubs

The First Instant Body (FIB) decides to grant the AFC Club License to four clubs. 

Four clubs, i.e; Machhindra Football Club, Tribhuvan Army Football Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club and Nepal APF Football Club will receive the AFC Club License for this season. 

The decision has been circulated with the AFC following the core process timeline of the AFC Club Licensing. 

The decision on the National Club Licensing shall be made in next month.

Head coach Almutairi unveils plans after extending contract until 2024

Head coach of men's football team Abdullah Almutairi has extended his contract until 2024.

The agreement between the head coach and All Nepal Football Association for another three years.

Almutairi was appointed as the head coach in March this year and underseen the team in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers matches and the SAFF Championship. The national team has played 11 matches winning three and drawing two since Almutairi took over at the helm. He also took the team to the final of the SAFF Championship for the first time where Nepal finished second behind India.

Almutairi also unveiled his plans for the national team and said the love and affection he was shown by the Nepali fans was the primary reason for him to extend the contract. He said his next target was the third round of Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers where he aimed to finish third in the group.

He also aimed to improve Nepal's FIFA ranking and improve the team's chances in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers.
