Pulchowk thrash Raniban to conclude fifth round

A hat-trick from Sagar Thing helped Pulchowk Sports Club smash four past Raniban Sports Club as the fifth round of Martyr's Memorial C Division League came to an end.

Pulchowk scored once in the added minute of first half and added another three in the second half for the one-sided victory.

Suman Shrestha scored in the fifth minute of added time of first half to give Pulchowk the lead. Sagar Thing scored his first and the team's second in the 84th minute of the game. He then scored two in two minutes to complete the rout.

Thing's second goal came in the fourth minute of added time before he completed his hat-trick a minute later.

Manohara continue fine run with Sanepa victory, Khalibari defeat Golbazar

Manohara United Youth Club defeated Sanepa Club 2-1 to continue their winning run in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League on Monday.

Nirajan Jung Shahi had given Sanepa the lead in the 12th minute before Bibas Magar levelled for Manohara in the 65th minute. A penalty by Lila Bahadur Thapa Magar in the 78th minute completed the comeback victory for Manohara in the first match of the day at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

In the second match, Khalibari Yuba Football Club defeated Golbazar Sports Club 3-1. Anuj Thapa put Khalibari ahead in the 8th minute of the match. Ujjwol Shahi doubled the team's advantage in the 29th minute before Sandesh Chaudhary scored two minutes later to put them 3-0 ahead.

Bagmati scored the consolation through Binu Ale Magar four minutes from time.

Mahabir edge Sanga; Jhamsikhel, Bagmati play draw

Mahabir Studies & Athletics Association defeated Sports Academy Sanga 1-0 in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League on Sunday.

In the first match of the day at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Sandip Shrestha's penalty in the 67th minute of the match helped Mahabir over Sanga.

The other match between Jhamsikhel Youth Club and Bagmati Youth Club ended in goalless draw.

ANFA bids farewell to national team travelling to England

ANFA bid farewell to the national team departing for England to compete against the England C team. British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn graced the farewell ceremony, joined by ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Ex-Co members Manish Joshi and Bharat Budh Thapa, Spokesperson Suresh Shah and Communication Manager at British Embassy Prerana Marasini.

Ambassador Fenn, reminiscing about his childhood playing days, expressed his support for the Nepali national team, following his allegiance to English Club Stoke City. He wished for a positive outcome for the Nepali team.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang extended gratitude to former ANFA President Karma Tshering Sherpa for initiating the friendly match. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, the current Ex-Co pursued the initiative and anticipated the match would be a valuable learning experience for the national team.

President Nembang also handed a Nepali jersey to the ambassador.
