ANFA Women’s Online Refereeing Course begins

A three-day ANFA Women’s Online Refereeing Course 2020 began from Sunday.

Nineteen participants took part in the first day of the course. ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar inaugurated the virtual event. Member of ANFA Referee Committee Buddhi Bahadur Gurung gave the welcome speech.

Former FIFA Referee Laba Khatri instructed the participants about the Laws of the Game Changes during the morning session. Khatri also instructed about the challenges in the final session after former FIFA Referee Kalpana Sharma briefed on the handball rules in the afternoon session.

The event will last until Tuesday where participants will be briefed about various aspects of refereeing.

Three-day National Technical Network Seminar begins

A three-day National Technical Network Seminar 2020 has begun at ANFA Complex in Satdobato from Saturday.

District and provincial coaches will take part in the seminar. Coaches from Province 1 and 2 took part in the first day of the seminar.ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, Vice Presidents Krishna Bahadur Thapa and Upendra Man Singh, National Sports Council board member Hari Khadka and chiefs of ANFA technical departments were present in the seminar.Coaches from Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province will take part in the second day of the seminar on Sunday and coaches from Lumbini, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province will take part in the final day on Monday.

Speaking at the programme, ANFA President Sherpa stressed on the need to focus on the technical aspect of the game to develop football in the country. He thanked the technical department for organizing such programme. He also addressed the grievances of district coaches speaking in the programme.

Vice Presidents Thapa and Singh also lauded the department for such programme. They said district coaches were vital to unearth footballing talents and take the country’s football a step further.

ANFA Technical Director Gary Phillips gave a presentation on the Nepali philosophy of football.

Province League to be held from mid-January

All Nepal Football Association has decided to hold Province League in Province 2, Bagmati Province and Sudurpaschim Province from mid-January.

A meeting with provincial football representatives at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Thursday took the decision to this effect.

Following the decision, the provinces will send detailed proposal of the league to ANFA within a week.

ANFA Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, Competition Director Sanjeeb Mishra and representatives of Province 2, Bagmati Province and Sudurpaschim Province were present in the meeting.

Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League to be held from March 14

All Nepal Football Association has decided to hold the 2076 season's Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League from March 14 next year.

A meeting with representatives of the 'C' division clubs at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Thursday took the decision to this effect.

ANFA has also decided to increase preparation money for clubs participating in the league. Following the decision, clubs will now receive an amount of NRs 900,000, an increase by NRs 200,000, as preparation money.

The meeting also decided to continue with the point deduction system.

A briefing on health and training protocols was done during the meeting with the representatives.

AFNA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, League Committee Coordinator Bigyan Raj Sharma, among other ANFA officials were present in the meeting.

ANFA on Wednesday had decided to hold the remaining games of Martyr's Memorial 'B' Division League from February 23.
